Sen. Darwin Booher, R-Evart; Fay Wilson (left); and Booher’s Chief of Staff Patrick Tiedt (right) joined Gov. Rick Snyder at the Capitol Tuesday as he signed his first public act as governor.
Public Act 1 of 2011 is farm-friendly legislation that will help ensure that Michigan farmers who voluntarily comply with state environmental standards receive real benefits. Wilson, a former Osceola drain commissioner who certified Booher’s farm under the voluntary program, was invited by Booher to the bill signing.
